We are deeply moved by the news of the sudden death of Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger.
We knew him as a dedicated and passionate individual who worked tirelessly on behalf of the Bavarian economy. On countless delegation trips, he opened political doors and paved the way for international business relationships. He supported business establishment and expansion projects that created and secured jobs in Bavaria. At the Bavarian Export Award ceremony, his personal presence and his opening remarks were special highlights for the award recipients and all attendees.
We will fondly remember his work toward the internationalization of the Bavarian economy and Bavaria as a business location, our shared encounters, and his distinctive sense of humor.
